Wonder of the Seas Cruise Ships

Starting prices for balcony cabins range from $1,000 to $1,700 per person, but winter holiday and other popular vacation weeks can top $2,000. The only main outdoor activity not on a top deck is Wonder's twin rock climbing walls. Wind prevented us from harnessing up and having a go, so be flexible if this is a top attraction on your sailing.

The ceremony was attended by Richard Fain (RCG's Chairman), Jason Liberty (RCG's President and CEO), Michael Bayley (RCI's President and CEO), and Laurent Castaing (shipbuilder's General Manager). Wonder OTS is Royal Caribbean Group's 5th Oasis-class liner (ordered in December 2016), with sisterships Utopia, Harmony, Symphony, Oasis, Allure. These are currently the world's biggest passenger liners ever constructed. The shipowner planned the OASIS-Plus vessel's cost per berth to be lower compared to Allure and Oasis.

Sky and Star Suite guests have more downtime redefining room to unwind than ever before — indoors and out. Like the dedicated Suite Lounge with a full bar and hors d' oeuvres served daily just steps from the Sun Deck. Savor all your favorite cocktails at this tranquil poolside retreat. If you are looking for the freshest seafood, Hooked Seafood is the ultimate catch.

Wonder of the Seas guests will find an automatic service gratuity of $16 to $18.50 per person per day, depending on your cabin category, added to their onboard account and final bill. You are allowed to adjust this amount at the Guest Services desk before disembarking, but TPG does not recommend this, even if you are disappointed by the service. Currently, starting prices for windowless inside cabins range from $780 to nearly $1,400 per person, based on double occupancy.

How much does it cost to go on Wonder of the Seas?

In addition, guests can also have to pay for things like gratuities and tips. The Wonder of the Seas is the fifth ship in Royal Caribbean's Oasis class, coming in at 236,857 gross tons. At 1,188 feet long and 210 feet wide, it has earned the current title of the largest cruise ship in the world.

The following aerial photo shows an Oasis-class vessel (as looked from above). However, in mid-September 2021, RCI announced that instead of China, Wonder OTS' inaugural season will be in the Caribbean, with homeporting in Florida USA (Port Everglades/Fort Lauderdale's Terminal 18). The next YouTube video shows the most prominent features and the shipbuilding process of the "Oasis 3 class"/Oasis-Plus. Wonder OTS is the 14th vessel delivered to Royal Caribbean by the French shipbuilding company Chantiers de l'Atlantique (St Nazaire, France), and RCI fleet's 28th liner. Two nights were deemed "dress your best" or formal, and you'll find a range of interpretations of dressy attire.

I enjoyed an excellent breakfast there, I did some work, and I watched the sunset; there was no better place to look up at the stars at night and enjoy the sound of the ocean. Those who catch COVID during the cruise will be required to stay in their rooms, and food and drink will be delivered to their door at mealtimes. Royal Caribbean takes it a step further by covering all costs related to onboard medical care and travel home. If you test positive before the trip and cancel before 48 hours, they’ll give you a “Future Cruise Credit” that matches 100 percent of whatever you paid. That, at least, should quell some COVID concerns for those hesitant to book a cruise again. Teens also have access to the Social100 Patio, located outside on deck 17.

This area is truly designed to be a destination for suite guests to enjoy with less impetus to leave the suite decks. Wonder of the Seas' Solarium, photographed by Khakiberrie, has fast become a favorite spot aboard for its tranquil vibe. The fact that this space is adults-only is a major sell for those traveling without kids or parents looking for some quiet time. CruiseJohnny1 shares a Wonder of the Seas' Ocean View Balcony cabin, featuring a larger sitting area with extra storage and a sofa bed. These 182-square-foot cabins also feature a 50-square-foot balcony to provide passengers with their own private outside space. All of our cruise ships are equipped to accommodate any special needs — just let us know and we’ll make you feel at home.

Sorrento's pizza was also a highlight, as there was nothing quite better than getting a slice after a show or dance party. It was the perfect late-night bite—and this is coming from a New Yorker very serious about her pizza. The buffet, Windjammers Market, was usually packed, but I didn't have to wait long for food at all. There were so many stations to choose from, and there were doubles of each station on either side of the restaurant. Depending on how fast you walk, it would probably take about five to seven minutes to go from forward to aft on deck five, where it's all connected. The worst part, and the thing that'll consume the most of your time, is waiting for the elevators, especially during days at sea.

My daughter (and everyone else on board) was in awe of the acrobatic and high-diving show at the AquaTheater; you haven't lived until you've seen someone slackline high above a ship at sea. The ice skating show was so fun, with such colorful costumes, we saw it twice. The one main theater show we saw ("Voices") was mediocre, but the preview of "The Effectors II," which is now playing, looked amazing. I am not the type who can lie in the sun all day – I get bored, dehydrated and sunburned. So my favorite thing about cruising on the world's largest cruise ship was that there was always something to do. If you're cruising with young kids, you'll quickly get to know the sprawling Adventure Ocean kids club area.

When arriving in the port, passengers can use their mobile phones to check-in and board the liner via just a security checkpoint between the ship and the curb. The new process leverages a combination of bar codes, beacons, and facial recognition, to make boarding fast. Follows the complete list of Wonder of the Seas restaurants and food bars.

The Chef’s Table is the five-course chef-led dining experience that’s limited to 18 guests at a time. Those in Royal Suite Class stay in this neighborhood and get access to a bevy of VIP areas, such as a suite guest-only sun deck with a plug pool and bar, as well as a private suite guest-only restaurant, Coastal Kitchen. The Ultimate Family Suite is unique for RCI loft suite featuring a slide (from the kid's bedroom down to the living room), floor-ceiling LEGO wall, hidden nooks for a chilling, air-hockey table.
